Why is this man smiling?
Could it be that fabulous scarf? After all, Mr. Frick and I are almost finished with Season 2 of Project Runway and we have both managed to develop devastating* crushes on Daniel Vosovic, who has a killer knack for scarf-sporting. Here Mr. Frick demonstrates that not only can he, too, bring it with the scarf, but he can do so when said accessory is predominantly pink and while juggling a toddler. Now that's what I call making it work.
But no, that is not why the smile. Mr. Frick is happy today because he no longer has to be subjected to the scourge of all knitter s.o.'s- the dreaded stand-like-a-robot-and-hold-my-yarn-while-I-wind-it scenario. I managed to get by for quite some time with a lame appeal to his vanity: "Check out your biceps! Who needs dumbells, huh?" However, I think he was on to me. Thus, an early birthday present. Hurrah!
* Devastating for me because, well, DV is gay. Devastating for Mr. Frick because, well, Mr. Frick is not.
Yay! A new swift AND matrimonial harmony. Mr Frick certainly does bring it. Now you need to put scarves on both your men for the total cool effect.

Ahh, yes. Everybody needs a swift. (Is it bad of me to hide mine from my not-so-nice mother-in-law when she comes over so that she doesn't know I have one, which leaves her to wind all her yarn by hand? HeHe.)

Congrats on the new addition to your household - what are you doing posting, you should be winding up every hank o' yarn you own ;o)

Oh, the swift . . . best purchase I have ever made with knitting. My husband actually looked at me (after spending two hours trying to un-knot the hank of Schaefer Anne that I wrecked) and said, "I thought this was the part of knitting zen that was good for you." Burst into tears and bought the swift on eBay inside of five minutes. Daniel V. from last season truly was the highlight, but I think that Robert Best from season 3 is my type . . . I just don't think that I am his. Now I want to know, where's Andre?

I'll be over to start winding as soon as we're back from the shore!

hey, Mr. Frick looks adorable. How about less knitting shots and more Mr. Frick?
I mean your knitting is great and all, but he seems really hot....
